Climbing annual. Leaves and flowers are used fresh in salads; they have a peppery flavour comparable to watercress. Seeds can be ground and used as a pepper substitute. Also has medicinal uses.


How to sow and grow:

Method: Sow direct or raise seedlings
Sowing Depth: 15mm
When: Spring to early autumn (in cool climates spring only)
Position: Part or full sun, moist well drained soil
Plant Spacing: 30-45cm
Hardiness: Frost tender
Days to Maturity/flowering: 70-80 days
Care: Do not over-water. Protect from slugs, snails and caterpillars.

grows extremely easily...gone bonkers everywhere

Germinates so easy and quick. Plants look after themselves. Mine were damaged by my dogs at seedling stage but they bounced back and look great now.
