American heirloom traditionally grown by the Hopi people.  Plants grow to 180cm and produce 1 or 2 narrow cobs each.  Cobs have blue kernels and grow to around 18cm long.  Young cobs cooked and eaten like sweet corn, older cobs can be dried and ground into corn flour.  Drought tolerant; excellent for dry conditions.

When: Spring and early summer

Position: Full sun, moist soil
Plant Spacing: 30cm
Hardiness: Frost tender
Plant Height: 180cm
Days to Maturity/flowering: 90-110 days
Care: Grow in multiple rows rather than one long row so plants can easily pollinate each other. Protect seedlings from slugs and snails.
