A softneck (non-bolting) variety that matures mid to late season with leaves suitable to braid. Bulbs are teardrop shaped, flat at the base with white skins with purple blotches or stripes. Plump outer cloves and smaller inner cloves. Cloves have cream to tan coloured skins and a robust flavour. Plants are broad with floppy leaves. Grown in Victoria. Adapted to a variety of temperate climates in southern NSW, VIC and SA.
Softneck - Artichoke variety.
10-14 cloves per bulb in three layers.
Plant April to June; harvest November to January.
Stores 6-8 months.

First timer with garlic. Dedicated a whole raised bed for garlic and shallots. Great success. Good drainage & raised bed helped them through a wet spring 2022. Curing nice under dry pergola on homemade wire rack. So pleased. Now I will always grow garlic.
