Broccoli- Romanesco

These were easy to grow and delicious. It is exciting every time a new flower appears in it's little, leafy cocoon. I also enjoyed watching the flower grow huge and the wonderful patterns they make. We have been adding not just the flower but the leaves and softer parts of the stem to all our meals.

Broccoli- Romanesco

The ones that were romanesco were great but some were another kind of broccoli. Which is fine, but had me very confused as they were growing.

Bought ramanesco....

I bought ramanesco seeds, planted them and have just harvested my first purple cauliflower. (I have no purple cauliflower seeds.) I think there was a mix up with the seed packets/labeling. A bit disappointed that the seeds weren’t what I was expecting however, I love cauliflower! So it was still a nice surprise and fun watching the heads grow!

tastiest broccoli

I must admit that the germination rate was rather low but boy was it tasty!
