Large roots with a delicious celery flavour. Commonly used in soups and stews. Stems and leaves can be used for flavouring. Also known as "Turnip-rooted celery".


How to sow and grow:

Method: Raise seedlings
Sowing Depth: 5mm
When: Spring
Germination: 14-21 days @ 20-24°C
Hardiness / Life Cycle: Hardy Biennial (usually grown as an annual)
Row Spacing: 80cm
Plant Spacing: 30cm
Position: Part sun, moist soil
Days to Maturity/Flowering: 120 days
*Notes: Best harvested at around 10-12cm. Side shoots should be removed to encourage larger roots. Susceptible to leaf-spot.
