Frost tender perennial commonly grown as an annual; growing to 120cm. Produces sweet, juicy golden yellow fruit that is encased in a papery lantern like calyx. Fruit grows to around 3cm in diameter and can be eaten fresh or used in jams, desserts, pies, cakes and salads.

19 November 2019Planted some seeds in a sunny spot that can get quite hot, yet seedlings all grow well and don't seem to be bothered too much.

By: Nathan Kilah on 10 May 2016Strong germination. The four plants the slugs missed grew into sprawling bushes giving continual, interestingly flavoured fruit from January through to May. Our kids loved hunting for the fallen fruits.
