Large white roots that grow to around 1.4kg and have a very sweet flavour and a high sugar content of around 20%. Traditionally used to produce sugar or molasses but can also be eaten as a vegetable either baked, steamed or in soups, shredded in salads and even in desserts. If grown as a vegetable is best harvested when around 400 grams.
