Perennial growing to 20cm. Hardy once established. Leaves can be consumed raw in salads, added to cooked meals, or dried and used as a tea. Leaves have a bitter minty flavour due to high presence of tannin's. Heal All has a history of medicinal use for various ailments. Can be used as a lawn replacement or for meadow planting due to its vigorous growth habit. Flowers are purple or violet and formed on dense upright spikes. A natural Olive-green dye can be made from the flowers & stems. Bee attractant. Also known as "Self heal" or "Carpenters Weed".
