Certified Seed Potato- Nicola (End-of-season stock, advanced sprouting)
Solanum tuberosum
NOT TO NT, TAS, WA
- High yields
- Roasting, boiling, mashing
A smooth skinned high yeilding potato variety that maintains its shape when cooked. Best for roasting, boiling and mashing.
This variety is indeterminate; as potato foliage grows cover 70% of the stems with straw or other compost to increase yields. Be sure to practice crop rotation year on year to reduce the risk of disease.
Please Note: Due to the late season timing, these potatoes are actively sprouting and should be planted immediately! The sprouts are longer than those found on early-season stock which will make them difficult to unpack and handle. This is the last of our stock for 2025 and due to the quickly deterioting shelf life we have reduced their price to a nominal amount.
Handle with extreme care: Due to the long sprouts, please use scissors to carefully cut the bag open and gently separate the potatoes—do not pull or yank them apart.
However sprout damage is expected: Many sprouts will break or be damaged during unpacking. This is okay! The potato tuber will still successfully grow new sprouts and establish its crop.
