Perennial culinary herb and leaf vegetable growing to 60cm with bright green leaves featuring highly ornamental red veins. The leaves have a tangy lemon flavour that is slightly acidic; most commonly used as a salad green but also cooked like spinach or in soups, sauces and stews. Also known as "Bloody Dock" or "Red Veined Dock".
