Cucumber- Poinsett
9 February 2021I really like this cucumber variety - it produced a good crop with good flavour. This was my first time growing cucumbers and I planted this variety as well as the Lebanese variety but overall preferred the Poinsett. Only downside is fruit is very prickly and the skin a bit tough but once peeled flavour is excellent. Already marked in my calendar to grow again next year.

Good Germination
11 November 2018So far, this cucumber has had really good germination rates. Almost all the seeds sprouted within two-three days, though I did soak in 3% hydrogen peroxide for 3 hours before sowing. The seedlings are growing very well and I look forward to seeing how it'll do.
