Heirloom variety which was named after the town of Chioggia in Italy where it originates. A gourmet pumpkin with bumpy warted green/grey skin with bright orange flesh that grow to around 5-12kg. Flesh is dry and has a delicious sweet flavour that is traditionally used in gnocchi and ravioli but is also great baked, grilled and in soups and pies. Stores well and flavour improves with age. Also known as Zucca Barucca and Chioggia Sea Pumpkin.
