Strawberry- Alpine11 February 2021Most incredible strawberry EVER! There is nothing that comes close to the delicious fragrance and otherworldly flavour of these. I knew these growing up in France as “fraises des bois”- woodland strawberries- and am so thrilled to be able to grow them myself. They’re pretty forgiving- the hardest thing is waiting until they’re as ripe as possible (which is longer than you think!). You should be able to smell the fruit from a metre away (it smells like strawberry flavouring
Strawberry- Alpine1 January 2021Seeds work well and many alpine strawbs sprouted. After waiting for them to grow I was a tad disappointed in the flavour and decided to give space back to my regular strawberries. They would work great as a border.
