  • 1 x Pumpkin- Small Sugar (Cucurbita pepo)

    Heirloom variety from late 1800's. Small uniform round pumpkins with orange skin, orange flesh, sugary sweet flavour and smooth texture. Fruit grows to around 18cm or 2kg. Flesh is said to be one of the best varieties for making pies, it is also good for baking, soups and casseroles. Stores well.

  • 1 x Dill- Mammoth (Anethum graveolens)

    Larger and sparser than other common dill varieties. Good for seeds. Annual growing to 90cm. Aromatic plant with slender stems and delicate aromatic foliage similar to fennel. Leaves are used fresh as a garnish, in salads, dips, and with fish and egg dishes. Seed is used as a spice in tea, bread, soups and preserves.

  • 1 x Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis)

    Perennial growing to 50cm. Bushy upright plant with wrinkled green leaves and small pale yellow flowers. Leaves have a pleasant lemon flavour and are commonly used to flavour summer drinks, teas, desserts and salads. Has many medicinal uses. Can be used in potpourri. Attract bees. Also known as "Bee balm".

    Very popular variety for growing roots, baby leaves and microgreens. Dark red, globe shaped roots growing up to 7cm; very good flavour. Green tops with tinges of dark red. Resistant to downy mildew.

  • 1 x Everlasting Daisy- Salmon Rose (Xerochrysum bracteatum)

    Short lived perennial to 80cm. Australian native daisy with large flowers featuring golden yellow centres and salmon  coloured papery textured petals. Great for native gardens, container plantings, garden beds, borders, coastal areas and rockeries. Low maintenance, tolerant of poor soil conditions and drought. Makes a fantastic cut or dried flower lasting indefinitely. Flowers over a long period from spring through to autumn. Great for attracting native bees and hoverflies. Also known as "Paper daisy"or "Strawflower".

Good for beds, borders, pots, cottage gardens and as a cut flower.

  • 1 x Bunching Onion- Straight Leaf (Allium fistulosum)

    Salad onion. Forms no bulb. Stem and leaf grow straight up. Popular variety with nice flavour; good as a garnish, in dips, stews, soups, salads and stir fry's. Bunching onions are also known as "Welsh onions", often used as "Spring onions" and sometimes incorrectly called "Shallots".

  • 1 x Brachyscome- Mixed Splendour (Brachyscome iberidifolia)

    Annual growing to 25cm. Grey/green foliage with dainty single flowers in a mix of blue, pink and white. It has a spreading habit making it ideal for borders, rockeries and edging. Can be grown in containers. Australian native; indigenous to Western and South Australia.

  • 1 x Mizuna (Brassica juncea var. japonica)

    Serrated green leaves have a mild but spicy flavour. Can be used fresh as a salad green or cooked as a leaf vegetable. Good in stir-fries and soups. Will tolerate wet and cold conditions. Sometimes called "Japanese mustard".

    Good for microgreens and baby leaf production.

  • 1 x Californian Poppy- Golden West (Eschscholzia californica)

    Annual growing to 40cm. Fine blue/green fern-like foliage with paper thin golden yellow flowers. Flowers close in dull weather. Very good as a cut flower, in beds, borders and rock gardens. Can be grown in poor soil. Drought tolerant.

  • 1 x Silverbeet- Magenta (Beta vulgaris)

    Biennial normally grown as an annual, growing to 60cm. Green leaves with narrow magenta stalks that are tender with an excellent flavour. Very attractive both in the garden and in meals. Silver beet is also known as "Swiss Chard" and is often confused with "Spinach".
