Description
'Cucumber- Boston Pickling' seeds
Cucumis sativus
- Great for pickling
- Good disease resistance
This heirloom variety was originally released in the late 1800's but was 'improved' sometime around 1950 to give it better disease resistance. It's the perfect variety for making pickles. Cucumbers grow to around 15cm if let to mature but are normally harvested at around 5-10cm for pickling. Crunchy texture. Mature cucumbers are good for slicing in salads. Long producing.
Pickled cucumbers are also known as Gherkins and pickles.

Ratings & Reviews
Boston pickling cucumber
Planted seeds in spring for abundant harvest in summer, good for both salads and pickling and seem to tolerate Sydney’s humidity well.
Boston Pickling Cucumber
I have planted these little beauties for the past three years and have never had a bad year. They produce large amounts of very nice small fruit. I can a few jars of Pickles a year and have found that the family prefer these over other cucumber types to eat raw.
