Fast growing climbing vine producing small bottle shaped green gourds up to 15cm. Fruit can be harvested when green and cooked, popular for use in curry. If left to dry on the vine the gourds will ripen to orange and form a thicker pumpkin-like skin with a hollow interior. Dried gourds have historically been used as a vessel or as a musical instrument. This is a popular variety for craft uses and decorations.
