Description

'Hardenbergia- Native Wisteria' seeds

Hardenbergia comptoniana

  • Trailing perennial plant
  • Deep purple pea flowers
  • Use as a climber or groundcover

A vigorous, fast growing trailing perennial with long, glossy deep green leaves and clusters of mauve to deep purple pea flowers in winter and spring. Use as a climber to cover fences or mass plant as a groundcover growing to 30cm high. Branches will twist around a trellis or support. Attracts bees and butterflies.

Native to coastal areas of southern Western Australia. Also known as 'Native Lilac'.

Note: Seeds of many native plants are dormant and will not germinate until ideal environmental conditions are met. Follow instructions for pre-treatment and sowing, and be patient; some wild harvested seeds can take much longer to germinate than expected.
