Description

'Paper Daisy- Rose' seeds

Rhodanthe manglesii

Synonyms: Helipterum manglesii

  • Annual 50cm
  • West Australian Native
  • Pink Flowers

Annual to 50cm. West Australian native daisy with rose coloured delicate papery textured flower petals surrounding a yellow centre. Flowers hang from thin stems creating a 'nodding' appearance. Great for native gardens, mass plantings, arid environments, and rockeries. Low maintenance, tolerant of poor soil conditions and drought. Makes a fantastic cut or dried flower. Great for attracting native bees and hoverflies. Also known as "Australian Strawflower", "Swan River Everlasting Daisy" and "Silver Bells".

Ratings & Reviews

Paper Daisy- Rose

Lovely, delicate bloom, sweet colour. I'd love to try as an even bigger mass-planting, as they are so beautiful all together, swaying gently in the breeze. Very happy I got them - they bring a smile to my face! Used them as a cut flower, and in dried arrangements too. They coped well in a tricky part of the garden, though the stems and foliage were slightly towards aqua-green and paler/thinner than pictured - but this is lovely too, (and it improved a bit, as I improved the soil...)
