Tips for spring planting:

• Prep soil for planting: Before planting your seeds, weed the area thoroughly. Dig over soil to loosen it and make it friable. Remove any stones, roots and debris. Add compost or aged animal manure, then level off the soil ready for planting.
• Don’t let seeds dry out: Damp soil is essential for seeds to germinate, and seedling’s immature root systems need continuous moisture. Watering a little and often is the surest way for successful germination and good health, so make it a daily part of your routine.
