Very ornamental variety of amaranth that is grown for it's colourful leaves. Upright bushy plants produce leaves in 4 different colours with yellow and crimson coloured leaves on the top of the plant and green and chocolate brown leaves on the lower parts of the plant. Colours and leaf patterns vary from plant to plant so it's recommended to plant multiple specimens. Great for beds, borders, mass planting and cottage gardens. Flowers are insignificant. Drought tolerant. Also known as Josephs Coat.
