French heirloom first introduced in 1892. A very reliable and very productive variety that is most commonly grown specifically for pickle production but can also be left to mature and used as a salad cucumber. Plants produce masses of small, sweet flavoured, crunchy textured cucumbers with insignificant seeds that make it perfect for pickling. Also known as Parisian Pickling, French Gherkin and Improved Bourbonne.
Pickled cucumbers are also known as Gherkins and pickles.
