Description

Dahlia- Hillara Jean (Tuber)

Dahlia hybrid

NOT FOR TAS, WA

  • Collarette type
  • Pink to maroon outer petals with lighter inner petals
  • Field grown tuber

A collarate type dahlia with an outer row of deep pink to maroon, rounded outer petals sitting behind inner mid-pink variegated petals, all surrounding a fluffy centre of yellow stamens that attracts pollinators.

Collarette dahlias have open centres with pollen bearing stamen surrounded by two rows of petals: an outer layer of eight rounded, overlapping petals and an inner layer of smaller, usually wavy petals in a contrasting colour. Flowers are typically smaller than 16cm across.

Dahlia tubers are the swollen roots of dahlia plants that are dug up, divided and sold bare rooted (without soil). This is a field grown or 'unrestricted' tuber that is sold as a single tuber.

Dahlia tubers come in all different shapes and sizes
