Description

'Hardenbergia- Purple' seeds

Hardenbergia violacea

  • Popular native climber
  • Winter and spring flowers
  • Perennial trailing plant

Evergreen perennial trailing plant growing up to 3m high and 2m wide. A popular Australian native plant that is usually grown as a climber on a trellis, but can also be used as a groundcover. The showy bracts of purple pea-like flowers cover the plant in winter and spring and will attract bees and butterflies. A fast-growing plant that will tolerate a variety of soil types in habitats from the coast to the mountains. Also known as "Happy Wanderer" or "Purple Coral Pea".

Note: Seeds of many native plants are dormant and will not germinate until ideal environmental conditions are met. Follow instructions for pre-treatment and sowing, and be patient; some wild harvested seeds can take much longer to germinate than expected.

Ratings & Reviews

Hardenbergia- Purple

Growing great. Gave some seedlings away. Watch out for snails. Awesome addition to my native garden. Highly recommended.
