Asian water vegetable grown for its edible tender hollow shoots and bamboo shaped leaves. Popular in tropical and sub-tropical regions around the world. Best grown in a container of water or in water logged soil. Easy and quick to grow requiring very little maintenance. Leaves and shoots are edible and are popular in stir-fries or boiled or can be eaten raw in salads. Also known an "Entsai", "Kankong", "Kangkung", "River Spinach" "Ong Choy" or "Water Morning Glory". Water Spinach has potential to become invasive if grown in open waterways so it is best contained to a pot or pond.
