Very popular Mexican heirloom Poblano variety that produces large green tapered fruit that mature to a deep chocolate brown; growing to around 15 by 8cm in size. Fruit has thick walls, complex flavour and mild heat. Can be used fresh or dried but flavour is developed when cooked. Great for stuffing, stews, baking, drying, sauces and salsas.
Poblano Chillies are also known as Ancho Chillies.
