This diverse mix of flowering plants is designed to attract beneficial insects while simultaneously building soil structure and nutrient levels in your garden. Best sown in spring and autumn.

Seeds included in this blend:

  • Berseem Clover: Nitrogen fixer, good biomass, attracts pollinators.
  • Arrowleaf Clover: Nitrogen fixer, builds soil, attracts pollinators.
  • Vetch: Nitrogen fixer, adds biomass, suppresses weeds, attracts pollinators.
  • Radish: Breaks compaction, adds biomass, scavenges nutrients.
  • Turnip: Breaks compaction, adds biomass, attracts pollinators.
  • Linseed: Adds organic matter, suppresses weeds, attracts pollinators.
  • Phacelia: Exceptional pollinator attractor, fast biomass, suppresses weeds.
  • Beans: Nitrogen fixer, adds biomass, attracts pollinators.
  • Sunflower: Deep roots, adds large biomass, excellent pollinator attractor.
  • Black Mustard: Fast biomass, potential biofumigant, attracts pollinators.
  • Yellow Mustard: Fast biomass, potential biofumigant, attracts pollinators.
  • Buckwheat: Fast biomass, scavenges phosphorus, excellent pollinator attractor, suppresses weeds.
  • Crimson Clover: Nitrogen fixer, good soil cover, highly attractive to pollinators.
  • Barley: Builds organic matter, suppresses weeds, scavenges nitrogen.
  • Peas: Nitrogen fixer, adds biomass, attracts pollinators.

100g covers approximately 40 square meters.
1kg covers approximately 400 square meters.

How to grow:

  1. Prepare soil for sowing; remove any weeds and cultivate well.
  2. Sow seed at a rate of 100g to 20 square metres into cultivated soil. Sowing depth: 10-20mm
  3. If growing as a green manure: Grow until the plants are approaching flowering then cut or slash and dig into the soil to decompose.
  4. If growing to attract pollinators: Let the plants flower to allow pollinators to enjoy them. After flowers plants can be left to complete their life cycle or can be cut or slashed, then dug into the soil to decompose. Please be aware plants will self seed using this method.
