Cucumber- National Pickling
Cucumis sativus
- Great for pickling
Heirloom variety that produces small tapered dark green fruit. This varieties thin skin and small size makes it ideal for pickling, however it's also commonly used in salads and sandwiches. Thin skin means spices are easily absorbed when pickling. Vigorous, early producing plants. Good resistance to mildew.
Pickled cucumbers are also known as Gherkins and pickles.

Cucumber- National Pickling
15 December 2020Great little cucumber plant. Has performed well in a mid-large hanging basket planter and trained onto twine to manage. Fruit is crisp with a stronger flavour than some of the larger type cucumbers that are more juicy.
